Thousands of young people in Mararaba, Karu L.G.A of nasarawa state face unemployment and hopelessness. This project provides ICT, vocational training, and mentorship to equip 200 at-risk youth with marketable skills, reducing poverty, crime, and drug abuse.
Mararaba, a bustling community in Nasarawa State bordering Abuja, is home to thousands of young people with untapped potential. Yet, many face unemployment, poverty, drug abuse, and limited opportunities to thrive. Without access to skills and mentorship, these youth risk falling into cycles of idleness, crime, and hopelessness.
This project will create a Youth Empowerment Hub where 200 young people will receive: ICT and Digital Skills Training (basic computing, online freelancing, web design, digital marketing) Vocational Skills Training (tailoring, hairdressing, phone repair, barbing, catering) Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy Workshops Mentorship & Leadership Development Programs By offering both tech-driven and hands-on training, youth will not only gain employable skills but also develop the confidence
Empowering youth in Mararaba will transform the community. Skilled youth will support their families, reduce poverty, and inspire others. Over time, the project will build a cycle of empowerment where trained youth mentor others, creating a ripple effect of hope and opportunity.
