This project aims to end violence against vulnerable women heads of households in communities facing climate shocks, migration and the country's undeniable socio-economic crisis. It also aims to empower women to boost their morale, provide them with professional skills while establishing a trade center, initiate new income-generating activities and diversify their sources of income while strengthening the Savings and Credit Groups (GEC) fund.
Women in the communities are victims of all kinds of prejudice. The situation becomes more complicated for young women heads of households abandoned by the fathers of their children. Those seeking to improve their situation are pushed deeper into poverty. They have no voice; mutual solidarity societies do not have sufficient funds to meet their members' needs, and trade centers are not valued, preventing empowerment and the diversification of income sources.
This project aims to recapitalize and restore morale to young women heads of household by strengthening their capacities; encourage the development of female leadership and job creation; set up a trade center for skills (in sewing, embroidery, crafts, etc.); strengthen the portfolios of mutual solidarity societies to grant loans; initiate new income-generating activities with a view to diversifying women's sources of income.
Through this project, marginalized young women heads of household will be reintegrated into community development activities; men's attitudes towards women will be changed, sexual, physical and moral aggression will be reduced; the capacities of 180 women will be strengthened and they will have access to credit; the standard of living of women will improve thanks to professional trades; micro-enterprises will be increased and the lives of women heads of household will be prosperous.
