Our project aims to educate and empower rural caregivers with mental health awareness, enabling them to recognize signs of stress, anxiety, and depression. By providing them with coping mechanisms and stress management techniques, we hope to improve their overall well-being and enhance their relationships with their children.
Rural caregivers, burdened by poverty and daily survival struggles, often neglect their mental well-being. This neglect leads to increased stress levels, negatively impacting their relationships with their children. Without proper mental health awareness, caregivers may unintentionally transfer their stress to their children, affecting their emotional and psychological development.
This project will help conduct mental health awareness workshops for 1000+ rural caregivers on stress management, anxiety, depression recognition and establish support groups for caregivers to share experiences and receive guidance which will lead to improving relationships with their children through active listening and empathy.
The project will help build healthier families and stronger communities. When caregivers learn how to manage stress and understand their own mental health, they become more patient, supportive, and emotionally present for their children. This creates safer, more nurturing homes where children feel loved and understood. Over time, caregivers who once struggled alone will have support groups and peer networks they can rely on.
