Empower 100 Kampala Women With Basic Income Skills

Since the project has now received $41 in total from 4 donors, with $19,959 remaining toward the $20,000 goal, this second report should be honest about the current stage while showing concrete progress without overstating results.

Early Support, Stronger Steps Forward

Our Empower 100 Ugandan Women With Basic Income Skills project continues to build momentum in Kampala and surrounding communities. We have now received support from four donors, totaling $41. While this represents only a small beginning toward our $20,000 goal, it has encouraged us to continue preparing for the one week practical training that will support 100 vulnerable women, including young mothers, single mothers, widows, and women working in unstable informal livelihoods.

During this period, our focus has been on strengthening community outreach and preparing an approach that responds to the practical realities women face when trying to earn an income. The project is designed to go beyond classroom instruction by combining hands on skills, basic business knowledge, appropriate tools, and mentorship that can help participants turn what they learn into practical livelihood opportunities.

We recognize that reaching all 100 women will require significantly more resources. However, the project remains active and our preparation continues. The support received so far is part of a longer journey toward helping women strengthen their incomes, support their families, and participate more confidently in their communities. We look forward to sharing further updates as implementation progresses.
