We are grateful to share the first update on our project, Empower 100 Ugandan Women With Basic Income Skills, currently underway in Kampala and surrounding communities. Thanks to the early support from two generous donors, we have begun initial preparations for the one-week training program, including community outreach and identification of women who will benefit most from this opportunity.
During our recent engagements, we met women like Amina, a young mother who has struggled to provide for her family after losing stable income. Like many others, she has the motivation to work but lacks access to practical skills and opportunities. Through this project, women like Amina will receive hands-on training and guidance to start small income-generating activities and support their households with dignity.
So far, we have mobilized local leaders and begun planning the training sessions, ensuring they are tailored to real market needs in the community. The initial contributions received are helping us take these first important steps toward implementation.
We look forward to sharing more progress in our next update as we move closer to launching the training and directly impacting the lives of these women and their families.
