GlobalGiving Crowdfunding Report (October 2024)
By Mykyta Pobiehun | Europe Chapter Coordinator
What have we achieved so far?
We've prepared all the necessary documentation and outlined the platform development, allowing us to apply for grants consistently each month.
We’ve also secured partnerships with NGOs in Ukraine and abroad, supporting the upskilling and mental health components of our project. Our next focus is on partnering with government agencies to promote the platform to war-affected individuals.
Additionally, we’ve completed the technical documentation, reducing initial developer costs. Thanks to this, Tech To The Rescue is now helping us find developers willing to work pro bono or at a reduced rate.
On a side note, the project was also selected as a finalist for the Social Impact Award Ukraine 2024 and took 4th place among all other projects.

Campaign Status: The crowdfunding campaign has faced challenges and is not progressing as swiftly as anticipated. As of July 24, 2024, the total amount raised is $100. Unfortunately, this amount is insufficient to withdraw from the platform.
Current Project Status: Despite the limited funding, the project continues to advance through the dedication of our enthusiastic team working on a pro-bono basis. Here are the key activities and achievements to date:
-
Grant Applications:
- The project team is actively submitting grant applications to secure necessary funds. Applications have been sent to reputable organizations, including CISCO, the German Marshall Fund, the United Nations Democracy Fund, and others. While we have yet to receive financial support, we remain hopeful and persistent in our efforts.
-
Use-Case Development:
- The team has successfully developed detailed use-cases, essential for the structured and logical progression of the Employment Platform. This strategic move has allowed us to save on development costs temporarily.
-
Website Creation:
- A dedicated website has been established to showcase the progress and work done on the Employment Platform. This site aims to attract donor attention and provide transparency on our project's development.
To accelerate the development of the Employment Platform, increased funding support is critical. We remain committed and continue our efforts diligently. Your support is invaluable in driving this project forward and making a significant impact on the lives of war-affected communities in Ukraine.
