Empowerment of women in skill development paves a permanent way for their income. It helps women to resolve many problems in their life. It further gives self-respect, courage and joy of enjoying. With this understanding, Village Development Centre aims to provide employment in door mat weaving for 40 women for dalit and other backward community poor women. Door mat weaving is simple one and need not much technical knowledge, electricity power and space to establish and erect the machine. Women can able to do all the work and they don’t need external assistance. Even their family members are also can do the work at their rest time. Now a days, the door mats are using every place like hospitals, schools, colleges, government buildings, home and where people mobility is more. Further, it is environmentally friend project, where the waste cotton cloths are recycled. It has good market needs.

The market needs are increasing every day. There is good scope for further extension. Whenever women need rest, they can take it. It doesn’t disturb their routine work at their home. This project evolved from the women and we have identified the potential beneficiaries for this project. The beneficiaries are expecting this project with very anxiously. Our respectable donors are donating to this project. Hope we will get the full donation very soon. Once we get the donation we will start the project. Until, we express our sincere thanks to our donors and GlobalGiving.
