Solar Panels are needed for two of the biggest hospitals in Afghanistan, located in the capital city of Kabul and Herat. Electric usage shows a drastic increase, with over 40,000 patients coming in annually, and thousands of patients coming in daily. Afghan Institute of Learning has provided a 24/7, all women's staff to oversee its patients free of no charge.
Electric usage for our hospitals, have increased the sum of cost annually to have power flowing. With an abundance of patients coming in daily, free of no charge. The hospital barely has the funds to provide for utilities, medicine, and wages of staff. And being two of the biggest hospitals inside the entire country, people especially the poor depend on those hospitals to be running and provide services.
A rather intuitive solution had came to Afghan Institute of Learning, of installing solar panels on both hospitals. Installing these panels would cut the cost of electricity, save money, and provide full power to the entire building without having to worry about power being shut down by the Government or by not having the funds to pay for power.
Solar power gives both hospitals lasting energy independence, cutting electricity costs so more funds go toward medicine, staff, and care for the poor-ensuring reliable power for critical equipment and building a more resilient, self-sustaining healthcare system for years to come.
