The program will deliver humanitarian aid for the survivals of Izmir - Turkey earthquake. This project will deliver necessity aid during the emergency response phase for instance food package, blankets, hygiene kits, much much more for survivals who affected by the earthquake with the magnitudes of 7.
The 7 magnitude earthquake occurred on October 30, 2020 in the Izmir city of Turkey and, so far, caused the death of 51 people and wounding of some 900 people in the neighboring cities. There are also a number of people who cannot go into their homes due the damage the building took. As winter is coming soon, these people are in need of blankets, food packages and hygiene kits which is the main aim of the project on the emergency response.
ACT Foundation representative teams who have been there since October 31st, 2020 have been helped to deliver humanitarian assistance. During the emergency response the aid will distribute on food packages, blankets, personal hygiene and much much more to survivors in especially in the high damaged areas, assembly points and the zones in which survivors are currently living in tents.
When there is an earthquake struck in the area, there is possibility on long term project after the emergency response is completed. The second phase program is recovery project for survivors and affected communities who really need on our assistance such as shelters, rebuilding public infrastructure and much much more.
