EMERGENCY RESPONSE:EARTHQUAKE IN SYRIA AND TURKEY

The work of Medicos del Mundo in North East Syria , that started 12 years ago has been strenghthened after this esarthquake, as we are working  in a crisis within an existing humanitarian crisis. Our main achievements have been:

• Provision of Primary Health Care consultations including first aid and basic trtauma management in the target Health Facilities 
• Provisionof  MHPSS consultations in the targeted governorates
• Provision of SRHconsultations,including labor and delivery care in the 9HealthFacilities we are working directly with
• Supply of essential medicines, consumables, and medical equipment to target healthfacilities.
• Provision of basic emergency obstetric and neonatal care(BEmONC)
• Provision of emergency and specialty referrals to hospitalsor secondary-level services aswell asreferrals to specialized non-medical service or assistance providers for vulnerable and at-risk individuals.
• Provision of ttrainings ans support faccitilies health staff and management personnel 
• Basic rehabilitation and maintenance of health facilities in all the targeted governorates 

We continue improvinfg the damaged health system and helping those that were already affected by war and now by the earthquake. There are still many needs to be met so Medicos del Mundo is searching for funds to continue these project.
