NO MORE DROWNING by our Life Road maps FOR SYRIAN REFUGEES / OUR TRAVEL TO TURKEY

By Roumpini Terzaki | Project Leader

IN ISTANBUL helping SYRIANS TO COME SAFE IN GREECE
IN ISTANBUL helping SYRIANS TO COME SAFE IN GREECE

Dear friends and supporters,

We hope this terrible crisis will unite people's efforts.

We hope and we try hard to cooperate with NGOs working for refugees in our country and at neighboroung counties. It is an important mission for all humans of our planet to keep solidarity between us. To protect life.

While we work very hard to provide for the refugees in need here in Greece, we cannot forget the ones who have not yet begun their travel here, a travel that more often than not lead to numerous deaths. Therefore, we decided to travel to Istanbul and do what is crucial: create our own Life Roads by providing information to refugees on how to cross the border through land, without any ristk of their lives.

Our mission in Turkey was to create the spirit of a "LIFE ROAD" and to help people save their lives.

Our accomplishment: No more refugee drowning while crossing the border via sea from Turkey to Greece after our Life Road maps were distributed and explained.

We believe in the power of a united front between people, citizens, and NGOs, countries and that is why we travelled to our neighboring country, Turkey,  to provide help and information also to other NGOs working with refugees in Istanbul which can spread this life saving Life Road map we created. The map states all the necessary information for their journey and was explained to refugees by the help of translators.

Despite our little money available, we have accomplished great things, but we need to continue to do more. As we move forward, we are in urgent need of funds and help in order to save more lives.

Urgent help is needed:

To provide information and education to thousants of refugees living in our country. At just one of the "HOT SPOTS" hosting refugees in Athens (the capital of Greece) there are more than 860 children of different ages, only in one camp!!!

EDUCATION is important! We provide to all children English lessons, Greek lessons, Yoga and Arworkshops in hope to cure the trauma of the loss. The trauma of the war. We feel excited to talk in Greek and English with many of the kids already! They give as hugs, they help us carry food in the fridge. The welcome all of our activities for them. They are thursty for life.

IMPORTANT ALSO ...

To provide medical care

To provide aid

To provide food

To provide shelter

The need for all kind of products is so hight that we can't imagine how we will face the thousants of kilos necessery for all people living from now on in Greece. All needs to feed Greek Families are huge also. We believe that only united we can do it.

We thank you for what you have done so far, and for helping us save people from desparation and death. As turbulence in the world continues, more people need our help, and we cannot stop asking for more in order to help them.

Our mission at “Kid & Family” is to treat all people as our family, our volunteers, our donors, the refugees we help, and the Greek families in need. We welcome each and every one of you to our big family whose mission is only to provide support to as many more as possible.

 Warm thanks,

Kid & Family
