Our Assistance Initiative – Greece 2025
Focus Islands: Crete Gavdos and Samos
The new Waves of Refugees arriving to Greek Islands , is a fact.
2025 still we receive massive waves of refugees, at the moment , target is Creta, Gavdos and Samos.
With the growing fear of new waves of refugees arriving in Crete and the Greek islands, the KID & FAMILY charity has mobilized its emergency response teams to address urgent humanitarian needs. Rising geopolitical tensions and unstable conditions in neighboring regions have led to renewed migratory flows, placing vulnerable populations—especially children and families—at immediate risk.
Project Objectives
This emergency initiative aims to:
Distribute essential supplies (food, hygiene kits, clothes, baby formula, blankets).
Provide free clinical health checks through our mobile medical units (mini vans equipped with certified volunteer doctors and medical essentials).
Offer psychological first aid and ongoing mental health support to refugee families and unaccompanied minors.
Our Response Model
Mobile Aid Teams:
Two fully equipped mini vans travel across key refugee entry points in Crete (Heraklion, Chania, Sitia) and islands like Lesvos, Chios, and Samos, offering:
General medical checkups
Pediatric assessments
Medication and wound care
Preventive health counseling
Distribution of Essentials:
Collaborating with local municipalities and port authorities, we deliver:
Food parcels and water
Hygiene kits (including women’s and infant care)
Blankets, shoes, weather protection gear
Mental Health Support:
Onsite trauma counseling for children and adults
Psychological assessments for PTSD and severe distress
Referral to our online HUG mental health network for long-term care
Multilingual support from trained psychologists and interpreters
Impact To Date
Over 1,200 refugees served in the first month (July 2025)
More than 350 children received urgent care and psychological screening
645 volunteers, including doctors, nurses, and psychologists, are on active standby
Partnerships with local clinics, schools, and churches are being strengthened for long-term integration and support
Immediate Needs
Additional funding for fuel, medicine, and protective gear
Donations of children’s clothes and non-perishable food
Support in logistics, translation, and transportation services

Dear friends,
We urge you to help us go on with all efforts, as Greece can;t handle the huge taxation and VAT we have to Pay even to Buy Food and essencials. At the present, Greece force all citizens to a tremendus VAT even for Food of 24% !
This is not possible to hundle without your help.
We give all of our heart and efforts to support people who arrive in waves but it is impossible to buy, curry, transport and deliver all goods without your helping hand.
