Warm greetings from No One Down Relief Organization (NODRO).

We are pleased to share our latest progress report for the project “Emergency Relief for 1.1 Million Conflict Affected.” This initiative is dedicated to providing life-saving assistance and recovery support to individuals and families affected by conflict across vulnerable regions in Ethiopia.

During this reporting period, we have made meaningful progress in delivering urgent humanitarian aid, restoring hope, and supporting affected communities toward recovery and resilience.

Project Overview

The Emergency Relief for 1.1 Million Conflict Affected project aims to address the urgent humanitarian needs of populations displaced or impacted by conflict.

The project focuses on:

  • Emergency food distribution
  • Provision of shelter and non-food items (NFIs)
  • Access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services
  • Basic healthcare and psychosocial support
  • Protection services for women, children, and vulnerable groups

Key Challenges Addressed

  • Displacement and loss of livelihoods
  • Food insecurity and malnutrition
  • Limited access to clean water and sanitation
  • Lack of basic healthcare services
  • Increased vulnerability of women and children
  • Trauma and psychological distress

Key Achievements (January – March 2026)

During this reporting period, the project achieved the following:

  • Distributed emergency food supplies to 8,500 households
  • Provided shelter materials and essential NFIs to 3,200 displaced families
  • Delivered clean water access to over 12,000 individuals
  • Supported 2,800 beneficiaries with basic healthcare services
  • Provided psychosocial support to 1,750 individuals, including women and children
  • Conducted hygiene promotion campaigns reaching 10,000+ people
  • Established 5 temporary safe spaces for women and children

In the next phase, NODRO plans to:

  • Enhance protection services for women and children
  • Build partnerships for long-term recovery initiatives
