Kerala has turned out to be the place having the most unpredictable weather and climatic conditions. The people of Kerala hasn’t experienced summer due to the drastic rainfall caused due to the Tauk Teah cyclone formed at the peninsular area. The regions has experienced abnormal rainfall which resulted in floods in most of te regions of south Kerala which are near to the coastal belts.
The flood has hit the regions of Kerala during the time when everyone was expecting summer season which lacked precautions in large scale. As a result, the people has to be evacuated from their homes since the areas are flooded and their lives were at peril. Thus flood relief camps were opened at every flood affected areas.
Don Bosco veedu society with the help of GlobalGiving donors were able to mobilise funds for the flood victims and provide them with refreshment items and other nutrition kits during the time of flood caused due to the Tauk Tea cyclone. We also managed to provide basic necessity items such as bedsheets, toothpastes and tooth brushes for the people at the relief camps.
