By Fr. Thomas P.D | Director, Don Bosco Veedu Society
Mrs. Mumthas lives in TC 39/1534 in Karimadom Colony. Mumthas was living alone in her small hut. She earns a living by selling domestic birds from her home. The recent flood forced her to abandon all her birds. She hardly found any other ways to help those birds, since her residence was flooded.
When a team of social workers visited her home for the preparation of family care plan, they identified that Mumthas is jobless. The social workers from Don Bosco enquired her opinion about reviving the business. She was very happy to re-start the pets business.
With the donation from global giving Don Bosco Veedu Society could provide her with a Dozen of Pegions. Now she earns a living by selling the Pegion, which has an higher market among the residents of Karimadom Colony.
