Trivandrum Don Bosco Veedu society received information about a family from Bemapalli. The flood has taken away all their household materials. They had filed petition before the local self-government system inorder to re-build their house or compensation for the purchase of new utensils/ household materials. The poor family didnot recieved any response from the local authority.
Their neighbour a beneficiary of Trivandrum Don Bosco Veedu society informed the pathetic condition of the family. Social workers from Don Bosco Veedu society visited the family and a need analysis was carried down. In the need analysis, the team found certain needs such as:
1) A tarpaulin sheet: They require a Tarpaulin sheet inorder to cover the roof. The heavy rain causes leakes in the roof, which was made of woven coconut leaf. The sunlight is also entering into the hut
2) A coat & Bed: The rainwater has destoryed the coat and bed completely
The contribution that we received through Global giving helped us to support the family with a tarpaulin sheet that covers their house, where sunlight does not even reach inside. All thanks to the Donor’s who are supporting this noble venture.
