We assist 2400 physically disabled war survivors in North and South Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo. Many lost limbs due to bullets, landmines, and brutal attacks. Our project identifies victims, defends their rights, and provides prosthetics and physical therapy through a local center. This urgent relief gives them hope, mobility, and dignity.
Armed conflicts in eastern DR Congo have left thousands with severe physical disabilities. Many civilians children, women, and men have lost limbs due to gunfire, mines, or brutal violence. These victims are often abandoned, denied rights, and excluded from community life. With no access to mobility aids or support, their suffering grows daily.
We identify disabled war victims across North and South Kivu and offer them tailored support. Our relief center builds prosthetic limbs and provides physiotherapy to restore mobility. We also carry out advocacy campaigns to defend their human rights and fight stigma in their local communities. This restores dignity and opens pathways for social inclusion.
This project will help over 2,500 war-disabled people reclaim mobility and dignity, allowing them to actively participate in their communities. Over time, it will reduce discrimination and promote inclusion. By raising awareness, building support networks, and training locals, we aim to create a long-term safety net for future victims and a more compassionate society.
