Drought is severely affecting communities in Kapoeta East, Eastern Equatoria State, South Sudan, reducing access to food, water and basic household necessities. Women and girls are particularly vulnerable as household resources decline, increasing food insecurity, economic hardship and challenges in maintaining personal dignity and hygiene. Many vulnerable women cannot afford essential food and dignity items, creating an urgent need for targeted emergency assistance.
The project will support 500 drought-affected women in Kapoeta East with emergency food items and dignity kits to address immediate food and essential needs.
