Kids for Kids is appealing for emergency funding to help families without any food, water and basic supplies in Darfur, Sudan. Kids for Kids is the only organization, helping children in remote villages. Emergency funding is essential to help provide food, emergency seed and other essential items to families facing starvation.
We are seeking emergency help for families who are desperately short of food and water. Darfur is facing its darkest days, with the UN declaring Sudan as the world's worst humanitarian crisis. With ongoing conflict, famine, displacement & heavy rains, children are always the first to suffer. Starvation means children are stunted. Lack of protein leads to brain cells, bones and teeth being compromised--a whole generation of children seriously, forever damaged.
Thankfully, families living in the 110 villages we have already supported through Kids for Kids will have a better chance of survival. Despite all obstacles, Kids for Kids has managed to deliver seed for food for planting. Our new initiative, Kids Kitchen Kits, provides families with children 5 and under, with protein,vitamins & minerals they need to survive. So far we have reached over 4000 families but thousands more need your help.
By providing critical emergency aid, with food packs, seed packs, clean water jugs and medicines, we can prevent starvation and keep people safe in their villages holding back a new tide of refugees. The fighting will stop--and the people you help will be back up on their feet, having not lost their homes and families. And Kids for Kids will return to digging clean water wells, giving families futures with goat loans, holding back the desert by planting useful trees and more with your help.
