Dear TRHM Friends,
Warm greetings from Mwanza, Tanzania!
I hope this message finds you well and filled with gratitude for the impact you continue to make through your support of our lifesaving mission. Thanks to your generosity, our initiative to train 100 community first responders and equip them with essential first aid supplies and the Beacon App dispatch software continues to grow stronger each day.
I’m excited to share some inspiring updates from the field:
Empowering First Responders
We recently conducted a refresher training for our dedicated first responders and provided 10 smartphones to enhance their use of the Beacon App.This upgrade has transformed how they respond to emergencies—enabling smoother communication, faster coordination, and real-time updates from the scene through photos and videos.
Our pilot program is already showing great promise, and the feedback from responders has been overwhelmingly positive.
Round-the-Clock Response
During the third quarter, our team (26 Active First Responders out of 38 trained First Responders) remained on call 24/7, responding to 341 emergency incidents and assisting 511 beneficiaries who received critical care from trained first responders.
Each number represents a life touched, a family supported, and a community made safer.
Inspiring the Next Generation
Beyond adult training, our program has reached local schools, where we teach pupils the basics of first aid and emergency awareness. So far, 117 students have been trained—young heroes learning to act confidently and wisely in moments of crisis.
These sessions not only inspire compassion but also ensure that lifesaving knowledge reaches homes and neighborhoods across Mwanza.

How You Can Help
As we look ahead, we hope to train and equip even more community responders—because the more trained hands we have, the faster help can reach those in need.
This GivingTuesday (December 2), we invite you to rally your friends and networks to support our cause. GlobalGiving will be offering matching campaigns and bonus funds, allowing your donations to go even further toward saving lives.
