The emergency project in Valencia supports over 500,000 people affected by the DANA storm. Currently in Phase 2, it focuses on recovery for thousands of families still in need: 1. Psychological and emotional support for affected families. 2. Direct financial aid to cover basic needs. 3. Assistance with essential administrative procedures. A monthly donation of 300 is requested to fund trained professionals working directly with impacted families. Urgent help is needed!
The DANA (Isolated Depression at High Levels) is an extreme weather phenomenon that has severely impacted the Valencia region, leaving more than 500,000 people in an emergency situation. Heavy rains and flooding have caused significant damage to homes, infrastructure, and basic services, leaving thousands of families without access to essential resources and in vulnerable conditions.
This project will address the problem by providing psychological support to help families recover emotionally, direct financial assistance to cover basic needs, and help with administrative processes to ensure access to necessary services. *Aldeas Infantiles SOS* will deploy trained professionals to work directly with affected families, focusing especially on children and youth. This targeted support aims to restore stability, resilience, and long-term well-being for the most vulnerable families
This project aims to address immediate needs and strengthen families and communities long-term: 1. Support families to overcome the crisis, ensuring stability and cohesion. 2. Provide access to education and psychosocial support, fostering children's emotional and academic growth. 3. Enhance the community's ability to face future crises and promote social solidarity. 4. Raise awareness about child protection in emergencies, encouraging long-term support.
