Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we have been able to recover from the severe flooding that significantly impacted the Elephants Alive base. The floodwaters caused substantial damage to buildings and infrastructure, affecting our ability to carry out conservation activities and support the surrounding communities.
Funding received through this project has been used to repair critical damage at the base, helping to restore safe and functional working conditions for our team. Essential maintenance and repair work has focused on addressing flood-related structural issues and ensuring that key facilities can continue to support our conservation and community programmes.
While recovery efforts are ongoing, these repairs have been an important step in restoring operations and strengthening the resilience of our facilities against future extreme weather events. The improvements made will help ensure that Elephants Alive can continue its work to protect elephants, support local communities, and promote human-elephant coexistence across the region.
We are deeply grateful for the generosity of our supporters. Your contributions have helped us recover from this unexpected setback and continue delivering vital conservation work where it is needed most.
