Hello friends,
Last Friday, was our Eldercare meeting. We welcomed 45 patients. Veronica (employee) cooked chicken and rice. Food bags were handed out. A nonprofit here in Honduras gave us mugs to share with all of them. We appreciate people coming beside the clinic to help others. The mugs made them very happy at this time of year it was very special.
We talked about self-esteem and life projects. To not fear was discussed and not being alone. Encouragement was given to allow people to live in the. moment and appreciate that which was given.
Thank you for joining with us in this work.
Blessings,

This week the Clinic staff visited several elderly patients. This is always a great priveledge to be able to help these people who get little attention and are unable to help themselves. Oftentimes a neighbor will check in on them from time to time but are also impoverished and can not attend to the needs, the visit is invaluable, however.
Maxima and Juana and her husband were there. They recieved care, including vital signs and a physical assessment, From this information we decide what medicines are needed and vitamins. Also, they receive food and needed supplies.
It is a privelege to serve these forgotten elderly. Thank you for making everything possible.

Hello all!
Every month Dr. Jimmy has a educational morning where the elderly that are able can come to the clinic and get educated on a health care subject like Diabetes, eating healthy, vitamins and health tips on many topics. The entire staff participates. The nurse does triage and blood sugar checks. The pharmicist packages vitamisn and needed items from the pharmacy. The rest of the staff encourages and helps them get to where they need to go.
Each participant receives food when they come to the clinic and any donations we have collected from our wonderful donors in the United States who visit the property in the summer. They are so wonderful to work with us and procide for the needy. The elderly are a walking encyclopedias of knowledge.
We especially strive to give the Elderly dignity and respect. Thank you for helping us do so.
Walking Beside you,
Dr. Gayle Savage Davison
