In our ongoing effort to make the Solidarity Project more effective and sustainable, we recently introduced a Design Thinking approach to better understand and meet the specific needs of the girls in the communities we serve.
This new phase began with one-on-one interviews with each girl. By listening to their stories, challenges, and aspirations, we were able to co-create tailored action plans that respond to their individual realities. This process has not only deepened our understanding but also strengthened the trust and engagement between the girls and our team.
One of our key goals this term is to support an 8-year-old girl from the community to prepare for and gain admission into a prestigious secondary school in Lagos on a full scholarship. We are providing coaching, mentoring, and learning support as part of her customised plan.
We are excited about this next chapter of the Solidarity Project, and we’re confident that these thoughtful, human-centred strategies will help unlock greater opportunities for the girls and their families.
Thank you for making this work possible, and we keep looking forward to your donations to make the dream of a bigger site possible.
