This project is aimed at purchasing a service van. The proposed new van will be used to deliver children to School and back to the Orphanage, field visits, as well as pick volunteers from airport. It will also be used for errands and medical visits in the community. Savings in vehicle hire costs will be significant. The service van will fulfill these transportation components: - first, increase transportation options for the young children and simplify young children 's access to transport
Another Hope Children's Ministries has been grappling with a persistent lack of transport. Primarily, this problem is caused by the inability to purchase a much bigger vehicle. Access to high quality education and medical care services have been compromised as children cannot access immediate emergency health care due to lack of transport. There is an increase in vehicle hire costs while taking children to school and back, taking them for treatment, and visiting the communities we serve.
The vehicle will facilitate day to day activities such as dropping kids to school and back, offer emergency care for the sick kids, facilitate transport to the field, bank deposits and mail pickups, therefore reducing need for use two vehicles in cases were children to be transported exceed the capacity of the current vehicle. The van will promote flexibility and visibility in communities and regions.
The Service van will be used by the staff and children for school visits and home visits, hospital visits both locally and within the region. Savings in transport hire costs will be significant. It provides a means of transporting children on recreation trips, hospital visits. Staff will use the vehicle for attending meetings and other work-related activities in the local area and region where feasible.
