In December 2017 with the help of the first donations to our new project at Global Giving we launched work on Educational program. PM of the program became Olena Sinitsyna, who works on preparation stage of the project. Olena has been working in the Fund for 3 years and has an education in public health. Therefore she has an expertise in charity as well as health care, namely child’s oncology.
At the moment we are working on our Educational program: studying researches in this sphere, examine experience of Ukrainian and foreign colleagues, getting consultations form doctors and stakeholders on program's filling. It will take few months to describe the budget. After that we will be able to announce the launch of the first stage. In general we plan to create the program that will last 2 years.
We plan that our program will include the series of internship trips for doctors and nurses, who treat children in the field of oncology. Our aim is also to implement pilot educational projects in local Ukrainian oncological departments. We focus on education that will allow changing the system of treating child's cancer in Ukraine.
We will emphasize the education of multidisciplinary teams rather than separate specialists, we will also pay special attention on providing education for doctors on soft skills in order to improve their of communication skills with patients, their relatives and colleagues.
