"Education and opportunities for vulnerable youth"

In Medellín-Colombia, the lack of access to job opportunities for young people is a prevalent problem. From September to November 2022, the unemployment rate for young people between the ages of 15 and 28 was 17.3%. This rate increases significantly in the case of vulnerable young people, for this population group the limitations of technical knowledge and formal education limit job access. The lack of access to employment and/or training opportunities for young people who do not study or work, presents an increase in inequality, the continuation of cycles of poverty, youth crime rates and recruitment by marginalized groups of the law. This problem has been exacerbated as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has further removed them from job opportunities and training of the fourth industrial revolution.

Faced with this problem, the opportunities offered by the ICT sector are a path to employability for this population, creating alternative educational paths in economies affected by the great challenges posed by the digital revolution.

The project seeks to provide knowledge and develop the necessary skills in critical and creative thinking, mathematical logical reasoning, as well as being able to access education in the IT sector, complemented by a strengthening of personal skills, which provide beneficiaries with the tools to function and advance. both personally and in his life project.

Support our young people, WITH YOUR SUPPORT they will be able to participate in this training model to strengthen capacities and improve their access to educational opportunities in the Technological sector.
