Education support to slum children of Rayagada
Implementing Organization: Shakti Organization, Rayagada, Odisha, India.
During the last quarter, the programme was run for one month only, as there was two months long summer vacation in schools, so, with request from of learners, we also made a two months break in the programme. The pogramme resumed again from 16th June. Due to fund constraint, we have re-opened only 7 centers out of 14 centers. Now, we are having 178 students, who are getting the benefit of our beyond school special coaching initiative. With the support of one of Local printing house, we distributed the writing materials (4 Note Books & 4 Pens each) to 178 students. We have facilitated nine community level facilitation programmes for our students, who secured more than 60 % in the last Annual exam. We are having plan to conduct one orientation pogramme to our teachers on joy full education in the coming month.
We are very much thankful to the donors, who supported this programme and the community who has taken the ownership of the programme.
