During this period, at La Poderosa we maintained an uninterrupted territorial deployment, guaranteeing recreation and support spaces throughout all the summer months. For our cultural centers, the right to play and rest are fundamental tools to support the youth in our neighborhoods, keeping them away from organized crime networks; therefore, our communities organized so that the children in our neighborhoods could enjoy a dignified summer.
In the face of the hottest days, we prioritized organized vacation outings in CABA, Cordoba, and Santa Fe, taking advantage of public spaces, swimming pools, and recreational grounds.
Each of the organized activities included a comprehensive proposal with sports stations (soccer, relay games, swimming) and cultural workshops that encouraged expression and collective gathering.
To make participation as inclusive as possible, the organization took full charge of logistics. This included guaranteeing safe transportation for the transfer from the neighborhood to the recreational centers and the subsequent return. Likewise, a nutritious and complete snack was distributed.
These actions represent the constant presence of our support network at a time of year when many state institutions withdraw from the territories. Sustaining these activities month after month allows us to strengthen community bonds and guarantee the rights of children.
