Our mission is to support impoverished children from Eastern Romanian villages, enabling them to stay in school and continue their education. This project will provide a daily afterschool program for 25 children in Pechea Village and monthly scholarships for 30 children from various poor villages. These scholarships will cover essential needs like school supplies, uniforms, and transportation.
In Romania, 19% of children drop out of school before reaching high school. Poverty affects one in four children, creating significant barriers to education. Children from Eastern Romanian villages face a lack of access to school supplies, transportation, and other necessary resources, making it difficult for them to attend school regularly and succeed academically. These challenges put them at high risk of dropping out, trapping them in a cycle of poverty and limited opportunities.
We will implement three key initiatives: 1. Daily Afterschool Program in Pechea Village: 25 children will receive homework help, tutoring, and enrichment activities in a supportive environment. 2. Monthly Scholarships and Educational Support for 30 Village Children: Scholarships will cover transportation, accommodation, and meals. At the start of the school year, recipients will also receive school supplies, books, and uniforms. 3. Free Mentoring and Tutoring
By offering continuous academic support and financial assistance, our project will help children from Eastern Romanian villages stay in school and excel academically. The long-term benefits include higher educational attainment, better job prospects, and a break from the cycle of poverty. Additionally, this project will foster a culture of learning and ambition within these communities, driving their overall development and prosperity. Join us in making a lasting difference in children's lives!
