"I thought I would never get beyond 4th grade and now I have finished 6th!" says Yomara, who graduated from sixth grade in November together with 32 other classmates.
Yomara, now 15, finished 5th and 6th grades in 2015 in CEIPA's accelerated education program for boys and girls who have not been able to enroll in school in a timely fashion because they must work to help support their familias. Yomara's job is to collect cans and plastic items which she seels to a recycling plant. Yomara hopes to start junior hign in the middle of January.
Of the 50 students enrolled in 6th grade in 2015, 17 will continue their studies in 2016, in addition to 33 new students who are currently being enrolled.
Your continued support wii make it possible for others, like Yomara, to continue their education.
