All student of BERDO Blind School visited national Memorial Monument at Savar Dhaka on 20-07-2019 as part of their recreational activities. They started their journey at 9.00 A.M. and they reached the site at 10.30 A.M. Savar national Memorial is a historic site having significant value. It was built in memory of people who embraced murder to save the country during liberation war that was started in 1972 against Pakistani occupied army. The liberation war was lasted for nine months and it is estimated that about 3 million people gave away their lives against occupied Pakistani Army who tried to quell arm movement against Pak army.
After the emergence of independent Bangladesh in 1972, the government built this monument in memory of freedom fighters and people who embraced murder for a new independent sovereign Bangladesh.
Students of Blind school visited this monument with much enthusiasm and fan fare. They had shown their keen interest to know the past history and the background of its creation and put deep respect to those who embraced martyrdom.
Students were seen in delighted mood while visiting the monument and they put more interest seeing this famous site. They were seen deeply moved by the sacrifice of freedom fighters and paid homage to people laid to rest.
