REPORT ON CHILDREN’S DAY IN AN IDENTIFIED SLUM AREA (Ranga Reddy, District.)

SUMMARY : The project will enable 100 children to receive the National Festival cheerfulness especially for children who celebrates the Children’s Day.

ABOUT THE CHILDREN :   It is a special day for 100 Girl Children.  This provided a mega celebration with all the eatables, refreshments etc.,.  Children took active part in competitions held. They are over joyed and participated in fancy dress competition.  Some of them won prizes.  Parents are also very happy to see their children in the decorative costumes and are thankful to you for the kind support. 

RDOET IN ACTION : (RDOET) HAO India distributed  chocolates, biscuits to one and all. Also distributed play materials to children who took part in competitions. Children happily received them & enjoyed well.

CHILDREN’S DAY :  Children’s Day is an event celebrated on various days in many places around the World.  In India Childrens Day falls on 14^th November every year with a great celebrity.  It is celebrated on the birthday of Jawaharlal Nehruji who love and was loved by children.  He was called as “Chacha ji” by children.  As a tribute to his love for children Pandit Nehru is also regarded as the Country’s special child to have been the India’s first Prime Minister after his long struggle for Independence to India.

Schools in our Country celebrate the day in different manner.  Cultural programmes and other activities like quizzes, fancy dress competitions, elocutions will be organized on that day.  The day is ear-marked with lot of activities for children.  Institutions like Balbhavans and also Jawahar Balabhavans have special programmes for children in variety of areas and also well equipped with libraries, games etc.,. Teachers perform dances and songs for their students to make them feel happy and cheerful.

REPORT ON INDIA’S INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS IN AN IDENTIFIED SLUM AREA, (Ranga Reddy, District.)

Summary : The project will enable 100 children to receive festival gaiety that is a National Festival of our Country.

About the children : Children received India Flag, Emblem on their dresses, saluting the flag hoisting, enjoying biscuits in refreshments.  Children took active part in competition held. Some of them won prizes.  For photographs all the children rush in the celebrations.  Parents are also very happy to see their children participating in the celebration and are thankful to you. 

RDOET IN ACTION :  (RDOET) HAO India distributed Sweets and other Independence Day material which included emblem on their dresses, saluting the flag hoisting, enjoying biscuits in refreshments.  Children cheerfully received them & enjoyed well.

Independence Day of INDIA is celebrated on Fifteen of August  to commemorate its independence from British rule and its birth as a sovereign nation in 1947. The day is a National holiday in India. There were many women freedom fighters of India like Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi, Kasturba Gandhi, Kamala Nehru, Vijaya Lakshmi Pundit and so on. Among them Sarojini Naidu also known by the sobriquet The Nightingale of India. She joined the Indian Independence movement, in the wake of the aftermath of partition.

Miss Padmaja Naidu daughter of Sarojini Naidu, devoted herself to the cause of Nation like her mother. At the age of 21, she entered the National scene and became the joint founder of the Indian National Congress of Hyderabad. She was jailed for taking part in the “Quit India” movement in 1942. The list of women who participated in the freedom struggle is impressive, and these women not only fought for the freedom of the country, but were instrumental in fighting for the cause of women.

Flag hoisting ceremonies and cultural programs take place in all the state capitals. In the cities around the country the national flag is hoisted by politicians in their constituencies. In various private organisations the flag hoisting is carried out by a senior official of that organisation. All over the country, flags are given out to citizens who wear them proudly to show their patriotism towards India. Schools and colleges around the country organize flag hoisting ceremonies and various cultural events within their premises, where younger children in costume represent their idols of the Independence era.      Dr. (Mrs).
