Dear friends and supporters,
Since our last report, Mosaik Support Centre has continued to grow its educational and vocational training offerings to meet the needs of Lesvos's refugee and local populations.
We have welcomed 190 new students, aged 9 to 59. Approximately 30% of our current students are women. They come from diverse backgrounds, including refugees, asylum seekers, local Greeks, and visitors to the island. Our expanded class schedule now includes English, Greek, German, Arabic, and IT.
In addition, Lesvos Solidarity continues to participate in 3 Erasmus programs, collaborating with partners across Europe on education and upcycling initiatives. In this time, HUMADE has hosted numerous workshops and activities focused on promoting environmental awareness and upcycling.
Refugees and asylum seekers continue building language and vocational skills to integrate into the local community. Locals and visitors are also benefiting from cultural and language exchange.
To meet growing needs, we aim to further expand our class offerings and to continue impactful collaborations on education, cultural exchange, vocational training, and environmental protection.
To sustain this critical work, we rely on your generous support. Please consider getting involved or donating - your contributions empower refugees and bring communities together during difficult times.
As we look ahead, our team has begun the planning process for next year's programs and offerings. We are currently assessing the evolving needs of the refugee and local communities, and determining how Lesvos Solidarity can continue addressing them. With your support, we hope to not just sustain but also expand our impact. Your contributions make it possible for us to plan ambitiously for the future. We deeply appreciate your commitment to enabling us to provide hope and empowerment to those who need it most. As our plans progress, we look forward to sharing more details with you.
