Dear friends and supporters,
Since our last report, Mosaik Support Centre has welcomed 2 new teachers to its team in order to facilitate the needs of the population of the island of Lesvos. An English teacher and a German teacher are now members of our team. More than 350 students have enrolled in our classes.
Now the students can take English, Greek, Arabic, music, German, computer classes and employability training (CV writing, job search etc.) as always. There was a great demand for these courses and with the help of our supporters we were able to integrate them into our training program. All classes are open to everyone and participation is completely free of charge.
Our organization participates in Erasmus programs, collaborating with other organizations across Europe, with whom we share ideas and new methods. These programs aim to integrate refugees and migrants.
We offer 2 bus tickets to our students and especially to those staying at the camp and in villages outside the city of Mytilene . 1 ticket to go back to the camp and 1 ticket to come back to the course.
The workshops and training will be open to everyone who wants to participate. Watch our lectures by following us on social media!
Solidarity Lesvos aims to connect and empower both refugees and local residents of the island. Three pillars - education, culture and vocational training - form the basis of our plan. In addition, we hope that our seminars and training programs will promote environmental awareness.
Many people find hope at Mosaik and we work hard to keep our program and themes relevant by paying attention to their needs. It is vital that sites like the Mosaik Support Center continue to be open.
To continue the work of the Mosaik Support Centre, we rely on your love, support and solidarity. Every contribution helps to empower the less fortunate refugees on the island of Lesvos.
Until we have more to report, please accept our gratitude for your generosity and solidarity.
