The suggested project will help 50 Tajik female migrants in Moscow attend intensive Russian language training and computer courses to find better paid job, improve quality of life.
In the Tajik society women have limited access to education, so the majority of the female population in Tajikistan has only secondary school training and have only housekeeping skills. Many of them learnt and spoke Russian language before, but after Tajikistan got its independency the role of the Russian in every day Tajik life significantly decreased. At the same time the labor market in Moscow suggests thousands of vacancies requiring computer proficiency and good command of the Russian.
The projects will provide financial support to 50 Tajik female labor migrants in Moscow to pass: 1) Advanced Russian language training: 2) Basic computer training courses Microsoft, Office2010/2007: Word and Excel.
This project helps Tajik women to acquire PC skills and improve their command of the Russian that will help them develop their careers and thus not only increase their income to support their families, but also change social attitude.
