Educating Nurses, Healthier Communities

By Ghullam Mujtaba Qadri | Project Leader

Dear Friends and Supporters,

What an extraordinary quarter it has been! Thanks to your unwavering belief in our mission, we have taken bold steps toward strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare backbone one nurse at a time. At Sindh Ajrak Welfare Trust, we know that healthier communities begin with skilled, compassionate caregivers, and over the last three months, your support has made that vision vibrantly real.

Where Excellence Met Encouragement

Nothing inspires us more than seeing hard work rewarded. This quarter, we awarded scholarships to our highest-achieving nursing students’ young men and women who burn the midnight oil mastering anatomy, pharmacology, and patient care. For these scholars, the scholarship wasn't just financial aid; it was a powerful message: "Your dedication matters, and we see your future as a healer." Their beaming faces as they received their certificates reminded us that investing in education is the surest path to lasting change.

Sowing the Seeds of a New Generation

We took our message beyond our own walls. Our Nursing Awareness Session reached out to local schools and community groups, inviting young students to explore nursing as a noble and rewarding career. We dispelled myths, shared real-life success stories, and opened the eyes of many who had never considered this path. The excitement in the room was palpable when we asked, "Who wants to save lives?" nearly every hand shot up. That is the power of planting a seed early.

A Day of Pride and Promise

One of the proudest moments this quarter was the Nursing Convocation for the graduating batch of Qadri College of Health Sciences. Watching our students walk across the stage in their caps and gowns, with families cheering from the audience, was deeply moving. Each graduate represents a family's hope and a community's future lifeline. We celebrated not just their academic milestones, but their readiness to step into wards, clinics, and remote villages where they are needed most. The pride in their eyes? Absolutely unforgettable.

Hands That Save Hearts

We also rolled up our sleeves literally for intensive CPR Training Sessions. Our nursing students, alongside several local volunteers, practiced chest compressions, rescue breaths, and emergency response drills on mannequins. But beyond the technique, we taught confidence. We reminded them that in a crisis, a calm, trained pair of hands can turn a tragedy into a second chance at life. One participant told us, "Now I know I can act, not just watch." That is the transformation we live for.

Rest, Recharge, and Brotherhood

Healing is serious work, but we believe in nurturing the whole person. That is why we took our nursing college family on a Picnic with Nursing College a day of fresh air, laughter, and bonding away from textbooks and hospital corridors. Teachers and students played cricket, shared meals under the sun, and simply enjoyed each other's company. It was a beautiful reminder that our team is a family, and strong families build strong communities.

Looking Ahead

This quarter has reaffirmed our deepest conviction: every scholarship given, every skill taught, and every proud graduate sent into the world is a brick in the foundation of a healthier Pakistan. You, our donors, are the silent partners in every life saved, every family comforted, and every community strengthened.

Thank you for believing in our nurses. They are growing in skill and heart and together, we are building a future where quality healthcare is not a privilege, but a right for all.

With deepest gratitude,
The Sindh Ajrak Welfare Trust Team
