Carolyn A. Miller High School Celebrates Another Year in Bassa Town, Liberia.

By Abigail S Teah | Media and Communication Officer

On behalf of our  students, VAAFD family want to sincerely thank you for all your support toward our programs this year.

we are excited to share highlights from the recent anniversary celebration of Carolyn A. Miller High School in Paynesville City. Thank you for your continued support that makes programs like this possible and helps us create joyful, memorable experiences for our students.

This year’s anniversary was filled with energy, faith, and school pride. The entire school community gathered for a anniversary  Day celebration that brought students, teachers, parents, and alumni together. The day was marked with prayers, cultural presentations, games, and activities that showcased student talent and unity.

One of the most exciting moments was the school parade. Students proudly wore different colors of T-shirts to represent their houses. With songs, banners, and smiles, they paraded through the streets of Bass Town in Paynesville City. Community members lined the streets to cheer them on, and the sight of so many bright colors moving together was a powerful picture of youth and hope.

After the parade, the campus came alive with games and friendly competitions. Students participated in races, football, and other team activities, all while laughing, cheering, and building friendships. The atmosphere was one of pure joy, and it was clear that the students felt seen, valued, and celebrated.

Events like this do more than create memories. They build confidence, strengthen school spirit, and remind students that they are part of a caring community. Because of you, we are able to provide safe spaces for students to learn, grow, and celebrate who they are. Your investment is visible in every smile, every cheer, and every step they took through Bass Town.

We are deeply grateful for your partnership. The success of this anniversary is a direct reflection of your generosity. As we look ahead to the next school year, we pray for your continued support so we can give more students experiences that inspire them to excel academically, socially, and spiritually. Thank you for making this celebration possible.
