The impact of University Education

This comes like a dream, we are thankful to GlobalGiving, our supporters, and friends for their donations toward the future of the children of Liberia. After many years of operation of primary, elementary, Junior and secondary school, we realized that after graduation most of our still went back to street selling and have not been able to go back to school to acquire higher education to be able play a major role in the society.

Over the past years our students have been performing greatly in the West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and as such, we have to considered and enrolling fourteen 14 of them to enrolled at the University to be trained in education so that when they graduate they can come back to their school to help prepare other students coming after them. We are grateful to the contribution of our friends who provided this support to get them started with their University career.

In appreciation for the opportunity provided to these young men and women, Titus wrote the below gratitude “Firstly, I am profoundly grateful to God for life and for how far He has brought me. In addition, I want to be grateful to Vision Awake Africa For Development for such a wonderful opportunity given to me and students. This is actually a life changing opportunity and a privilege, which I never anticipated nor dream to obtain. Seeing myself in the University today, especially Cuttington University, makes me and my family proud. I have been wondering a few years back about when and how am I going to enter University after high school but today, I am counted among one of the high ranking Universities in Liberia. Education is my passion and I want to be an educator and a mentor. I want to be a participant in the development of my country and the world through education and mentorship. I want to pass on knowledge to transform and impact lives. I want to show the light so that others can find the way”.

The Cuttington University is one of the best Universities in the Republic of Liberia that has produced for the Liberia outstanding students, and this a great opportunity for these less fortunate students to enroll. We want to say again thank you very much for the support and we are still looking to you to kindly continue supporting these kids to enable them meet their educational goal. If Liberia can become a changed and a great nation it will depend on these kids therefore I want to encourage you to continue to support them to achieve their goals. A credit at Cuttinton University is thirty-five United States Dollars $35.00, registration is $290.00 therefore a student doing 18 credit will need $920.00 for tuition per semester, we are asking you to kindly help support these to achieve their educational goals and be able to be a help in the rebuilding Liberia into better society and the Carolyn A. Miller High School.

Thank you, we appreciate your effort and your love.
