Education is one of the tools that children use to create opportunities for their future. Hands Across the Water not only provides shelter, food and a loving home for 300 children across Thailand but we also provide our children with an education to whatever level they can achieve.
As we are there for the long-term, we have set up a pre-school and support our children through to university studies, where they are able. Currently we have 27 children undergoing university as part of our opportunities program.
Not every child, however, can or wants to undertake university studies and that is why we offer, through our partners in Thailand, vocational training, on-the-job agricultural training and work experience and other employment opportunities.
So from the littlest of our children, to our growing teenagers, we aim to provide all children with educational opportunities to give them the best chance in life.
