In Belgut Sub-County, Kericho County, Kenya, poverty prevents many orphaned and vulnerable children from attending school. Families cannot afford fees, uniforms, or supplies, forcing children to stay home. Girls face early marriage, and boys are pushed into labor. Without education, they remain trapped in generational poverty.
This project will identify orphaned and vulnerable children most at risk of dropping out and provide school fees, uniforms, and essential learning materials. By removing the financial barriers to education, we enable children to enroll, remain in school, and complete their studies. Education empowers them with knowledge, confidence, and opportunities to break the cycle of poverty in their families and communities.
By ensuring vulnerable children remain in school, this project will help break the cycle of generational poverty in Belgut Sub-County. Educated children are more likely to secure stable employment, make informed life choices, and contribute positively to their communities.
