We are supporting three strong and courageous young women who have deep passion for uplifting the lives of many in their communities. We aim to raise $15000 to help them complete their higher education and make their dreams a reality. We believe that higher education is vital for assisting these young women into leadership roles to drive social reform and empower thousands more. In Myanmar, ethnic minority women face a tumultuous journey when completing their education because they experience disproportionate rates of human rights abuses caused by ongoing conflict, unequal access to opportunities, paternalistic traditional gender norms, and ethnic discrimination. As a result, women, like Sin Swe Thar, Bee, and Nang Kham are seeking their rights and fighting against all odds to pursue education to support their communities in order to achieve positive changes.
By raising funds for these three young women, we can empower them to continue to pursue their education and make their dreams come true. This will not only enable them to overcome financial barriers while completing education but this funding will also enhance their professional and personal growth, allowing them to contribute more effectively to their communities. These women will empower thousands more and serve as an inspiration for other young women from Myanmar.
