Our women fight for democracy as well as for equal rights for all ethnic groups inside Myanmar. Join our cause today and donate for the freedom for all people in Myanmar!
On 1 February 2021 a coup took place in Myanmar. Since then, every day thousands and thousands of citizens from all different backgrounds have gone out on the streets to protest together against the military regime demanding freedom, equality and peace. The military is using politics of fear. From our friends inside the country we know that yes they are afraid, but they are also angry and they are fighting, they want to win. They need our help to keep the demonstrations going!
The demonstrations of civilians and civil servants will stop the military regime from ruling the country. If we support the local people we can help them to stop this military coup. There are many people who are out on the streets to demand democracy to demand the military to step down. If the people win then Myanmar can finally set up a federal system. This is what they are fighting for, so that the military won't hold power over the people anymore and so that everyone can live in freedom.
To give freedom and equality to all people of Myanmar. To stop the military from controlling over politics, which they have always done. Even with the NLD elected, the military had 25% of the seats in parliament. The 2008 constitution has to be abolished and a new constitution should be written. The women of We women will be part of writing this history. They will encourage gender participation in all layers of society and will ensure equality for all ethnicities in Myanmar.
