Project Report | Jul 18, 2023
Heya Masr Q4 2022 Educate to Empower

By Moody Demetry | Founder and CEO of Heya Masr

Hello,

I am happy to report and share with you a quick summary of our achievements in Q4 2022. Thank you for your contributions. Without your support, we couldn't do it. Here is a summer of activities:
  • Graduated 100 girls who attended the Hayati Heya Masr Children Program.
  • We provided 100 parents with training through our online webinars on the emotional regulations of parents, puberty education, and how to prepare for the new school year.
  • Provided 90 girls with self-defense training in two locations.
  • Trained Heya Masr facilitators on case management and safeguarding policies.
  • Conducted parents sessions on the application of Heya Masr children's program in the Alborhan association (Hadayk Almaadi). Conducted Parenting sessions in Establ Antr community school on Parents' role in applying Heya Masr children's programs. Heya Masr partnered with AUC (Academic Community Engagement).
  • Fifty Sudents from the Department of Rhetoric and Composition students work on six projects to support the Heya Masr cause. Students created six videos to serve and document Heya Masr's success stories with facilitators, partners, children, and parents.
  • Traind facilitators on how to manage children aged 15–18. We started new partnerships with Alshark Alawsat, Bezra Association, Almaraa Algdida Orphanage, and Establ Antr Community School to provide 100 girls with our Hayati Children programs.
  • Heya Masr provided the Heya Masr children's program to 67 children in Establ Antr community school, 30 children in Makom-Helwan, 30 children in Alborhan association, 15 children in Ersm Helmk association, 15 children in Bezra, and 30 children in Alshark Alawsat.
I encourage you to read the full report and review some of our session pictures. I also urge you to continue your support of our mission. We put 100% of every dollar toward educating those girls and boys to empower them and end all violence against children and women. The environment where they learn is made safe because of your support, so please keep pushing us forward. We are on a mission to foster mental, emotional, and physical resilience in young Egyptian children to enable them to grow into more confident and assertive individuals and citizens through a journey of educational and entertaining development, targeting girls, boys, and parents.

Thank you,
