Dear Friend,
Thank you. Two simple words that can never fully capture our gratitude for your generosity and unwavering support. Because of you, we continue to change lives — one child, one family, one community at a time. These children deserve every ounce of hope and love we pour into our work, and none of it would be possible without you.
We are proud to share what your support has made possible this quarter — the start of our 11th year of empowerment.
HAYATI PROGRAM — "MY LIFE" (Children's Programming)
Our flagship four-month children's program, Hayati, equips boys and girls with the tools they need to thrive through three core modules:
• I Am a Leader — Character Building
• I Am Healthy — Proper Nutrition
• I Am Brave — Awareness Against Sexual Harassment and Bullying
This past quarter, we graduated 125 boys and girls across four community partnerships, helping them build the resilience to face domestic violence and life's other challenges. The results speak for themselves:
• Sense of security: 64% → 89%
• Good health: 60% → 91% (+34 points)
• Decision-making ability: 35% → 75% (nearly doubled)
• Self-awareness: 50% → 79% (+32 points)
• Self-confidence: +11 points
• Effective citizenship: +15 points
• Knowledge and behavior: 59% → 93%
This quarter also marked a new chapter: the first trauma-recovery sessions for girls, launched under our "I Am a Leader" module.
One message the children left for our team says it all: "You are valuable and worthy."
HAYATNA PROGRAM — "OUR LIFE" (Parenting Programming)
Our team of facilitators conducted Hayatna sessions for more than 65 parents this quarter, covering:
• Parenting self-care
• Female Genital Mutilation awareness
• Early marriage prevention
• Child protection against sexual harassment and bullying
• Healthy nutrition
• The right to education and gender equality
Pre- and post-program evaluations of 40 parents showed powerful shifts:
• Awareness Against FGM: 67% → 92%
• Child Protection: 65% → 80%
• Child Advocacy: 54% → 70%
• Gender Equality: 61% → 86%
• Positive Parenting: 59% → 86%
• Awareness Against Early Marriage: 76% → 93%
• Knowledge Development: 64% → 89%
ONLINE WEBINARS
We continued to extend our reach through expert-led online seminars for parents:
• "Why Does My Child Hit?! Understanding and Addressing Violence in Children" — Dr. Shereen Lewis
• "Why Is My Child Stubborn? Let's Understand What's Behind It, Without the Power Struggles" — Dr. Fatma Ali
PARTNERSHIPS
We were honored to welcome the American University in Cairo (AUC) as a new collaborator this quarter, deepening our network of partners who amplify our mission.
Q1 2025: THE BEGINNING OF OUR 11TH YEAR
As we step into our 11th year of empowerment, our goal for 2025 is to reach 1,000 children — with 20% of that focus dedicated to children with special needs and refugee children. On the parenting side, we're aiming for 1,000 parents across 12 educational webinars, continuing to drive positive change in family relationships.
None of this would be possible without you. Your belief in our mission fuels every workshop, every graduation, every breakthrough moment. There is still so much more to do — and we are grateful to have you beside us as we keep moving forward.
With heartfelt gratitude,
