The children we serve at Rojo Manohisoa rarely have the opportunity to eat snacks due to the limited financial means of their parents, which often affects their concentration, energy levels, and ability to fully participate in learning activities.
The Sustainable Education Support Program through snack distribution and additional scholarships, has significantly improved student well-being, school attendance, and academic performance by addressing two key barriers to education: hunger and financial hardship. The provision of snacks has enhanced students’ concentration, participation in class, while the scholarship component has enabled vulnerable and economically disadvantaged children to remain in school and pursue their educational goals. By reducing absenteeism and dropout rates, this program has contributed to greater educational access, equity, and student retention. Sustainability is strengthened through community involvement, partnerships, and ongoing monitoring of outcomes.
Overall, the initiative demonstrates that combining nutritional support with scholarship assistance creates a practical and sustainable approach to improving educational opportunities and fostering long-term social and economic development within the community.
