FALL 2011 - Back to School News

Thanks to your support, Art Studio hosted a fun-filled summer empowering at-risk youth here at our Little Haiti location. Highlights from Summer 2011, include:

Movement and Fine Arts workshops with Jas'mine of True Balance Inc.
Sculpture and Recycled Arts workshops with Teaching Artist Ashley Cumberland
Cartoon Creation workshops with Estevan Acosta of partner program My Mother Planet
Field trips to Marlin's Baseball Games, (for many youth, this was their first professional sporting event ever!)Special thanks to the Marlins for sponsoring tickets, Aventura Limosine Service for providing transporation, and Biscayne Bay Kiwanis Club for volunteering as mentors

With your support, Art Studio Miami is preparing to Educate, Empower and Heal At-Risk Haitian Youth through "Art Studio In the Schools" at FOUR local Little Haiti schools in addition to continuing programs at our community location.

To support our youth this school year, Art Studio is launching:

2011 ART SAVES LIVES CAMPAIGN

Your $25 donation provides

one month of art supplies

for an Art Studio student.

Join us in spreading the word & help us reach our Goal of $15,000 by September 15th to provide every Art Studio youth with a complete art supply kit through the end of 2011
