For years now, Khan Academy provides a free, worldclass education for anyone, anywhere. What we do is work on its localization, awareness and adoption in Bulgarian. Your donations will help us bring this free, prominent digital learning resource to thousands of Bulgarian children, especially those, more than 40%, without access to quality education. The 2022 PISA survey found that half of all Bulgarian kids are functionally illiterate in mathematics. Bulgarian education is struggling for years with crowded classrooms, unsophisticated use of technology and few, unmotivated teachers who focus on content rather than skills. Children receive insufficient attention and no personalized approach to their unique problem areas. They need after-school help which normally costs money, and are not motivated to learn and develop.
We empower Bulgarian children to study at their own pace in and outside the classroom: The Bulgarian localization of Khan Academy will give Bulgarian kids access to 10 000 world-class video lessons and 100 000 interactive exercises in math, science and other subjects - free for everyone, everywhere. With Khan Academy, students learn while having fun, and parents and teachers easily follow their performance. We want to let Bulgaria participate in this global community of 160 M learners worldwide!
By providing full access to Khan Academy's content, we promote constant learning and equal opportunity, hoping to close the large attainment gaps for almost 80% of Bulgarian children coming from poorer economic backgrounds. This encourages social inclusion and directly contributes to personal and professional success - towards a better life for everyone.
