Dear Friend,

Thank you very much for your support to our initiative educating and improving the lives of 500 poor families. In the past we use to provide them with dole-outs comprising food packs but we found out that this is not sustainable in the long run and create dependency among farmers. There is a need to provide them with alternative livelihoods and there are a lot of resources in the farm that they are able to use. This reporting period we are happy to inform you that we are promoting small-scale sustainable livelihoods like mushroom production in order to augment income and well-being among our farmers. We will continue to seek more supporters and assess more possible livelihoods in the coming months. We are happy to report too that our farm and center is growing with the assistance of local agencies. Again thank you very much for your generosity. Advance happy holidays.

Very sincerely yours,

Cesario Sayre

Dear Friend,

Thank you very much for your generous support to our project educating and improving the lives of poor farmers. Our effort is geared towards improving the incomes and livelihoods of farmers since most of our target communities are farming communities with farmers owning less than a hectare of land. The land ownership means that they are very vulnerable to climate change and to fluctuations in prices. Our training is geared towards increasing their resillience by means of providing them with wide array of livelihood activities they can easily handle and manage. For example are the raising of small animals, gardening, handicrafts, among others. Hoping for your continuing support to this initiative. Thank you so much.

Very sincerely yours,

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative educating and improving the lives of 500 poor farmers. Education with and for farmers is one of the best way in order to improve their lives and we have so many examples of these. Our mode of providing education is by example and pilot demonstration established in local villages. This is about crop growing and maintenance, production of organic fertilizer, product processing and marketing. This reporting period we are happy to inform you that we are able to support the quest of farmers in 3 villages to participate in the showcasing of their products in a trade fair. This is great since they will be able to promote and increase the sales of their products. A total of 125 farmers participated in this venture. Hoping for your continuing support. Thank you very much.

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative educating and improving the lives of 500 poor farmers. This reporting period we are happy to inform you that we suceeded in promoting the growing of high valued vegetables in small spaces and using improved techniques. For example we demonstrated the use of pipes and running water with soluble fertilizers in the growing of lettuce. Lettuce sells well in the market here and demand is always high. We target the holiday season in order to scale this initiative up and so generate good income for the farmers. A total of 15 farmers is adopting the practice and we hope to expand to more farmers. Hoping for your continuing support. Thank you very much.

providing farming inputs

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative educating and improving the lives of 500 poor farmers. This initiative achieves significance as we aim to improve local productivity so that local farmers will be able to provide food to their families and sell the surplus to neighbors thereby improving access to local food supply. The coronavirus pandemic has broken down the food supply chain and there is difficulty for food from the outside to be delivered to far areas thereby the logic of local food production albeit on a smaller scale so that surplus is small and there will be no wastage. This reporting period we are able to provide farming inputs comprising farm tools, organic fertilizer and fruit and vegetable seedlings. We also provide education by the distribution of flyers and leaflets that are easily read and understood by farmers. We reached-out to 220 farmers in this manner. Hoping for your continuing assistance.

Very sincerely yours,

Cesario Sayre
