Dear Friends and Supporters,
Today, we again share the remarkable journey of two siblings under our sponsorship: Pius and Purity.
Supported by Upendo from Nursery to University level, siblings Pius and Purity finally stepped into the professional world together. Though they shared the same humble beginnings, their paths diverged into two exciting environments for their university attachments.
At the bustling Kenya Ports Authority in Mombasa, Pius works as a statistician. Surrounded by massive cargo ships and complex data spreadsheets, he analyses shipping trends and optimizes docking schedules, turning raw numbers into efficient maritime logistics.
Meanwhile, in a vibrant Mombasa studio, Purity adjusts her headphones. As an intern presenter, her voice traves across the airwaves, connecting with thousands of listeners and bringing life to the morning radio show.
When they meet in the evening at their guardian’s place, Pius speaks of shipping vectors and data modelling, while Purity shares stories of live cues and listener call-ins.
Upendo has not only lifted the financial burden from their family but has also unlocked their unique talents. Through dedication and community support, the siblings are no longer just dreaming of the future - they are actively shaping it, one statistic and one broadcast at a time.
