After the longest school closure in the world of almost 2 years, Ugandan educational institutions finally reopened their doors on 10th January 2022. Nurture Africa immediately began enrolling and registering it's first year vocational students to commence their studies.
The Vocational Training Centre provides education and training in hair and beauty, tailoring, catering and carpentry. The students are also taught basic IT skills, financial literacy and business management modules. Each course is 2 years in during and students must pass the national state exam in order to obtain their certificate which is provided by the Ministry of Education and Sports in Uganda.
Nurture Africa provides this education free of charge for the most "at risk" youth in order to support them to gain the knowledge and skills required to gain employment or establish their own business.

Through the additional generousity of several donors recurring monthly payments, we will be in a position to maintain a number of these provisions for students in the months ahead.
On behalf of the students and vocational team in Uganda, I wish to sincerely thank you for supporting them.
